It wouldn’t be a new year, let alone a new decade, without a bunch of yearly-review posts. Without further ado…
The Zevvle story so far
First things first… we launched a mobile network! After ~18 months in the works, that was an exciting day. Watching our server logs as the first order came through felt incredible.
Soon after, we launched multi-SIM accounts, making it a lot easier if you have extra devices, family, WiFi routers, connected cars, etc. We’ve still got work to do, but things are better than they were!
In October, we opened our API, giving you access to all your call record data. Something we’ve seen requested for the last 10+ years…
We struggled a lot with our pricing, particularly whether pay-as-you-go is the right approach. When we proposed something different it wasn’t well-received, and after speaking with a lot of you we found our current model — tiered PAYG data that gets cheaper the more you use.
A few stats
In 2019, you used 601.92 gigabytes of data, with Saturday being the most active day, and Thursday the least. We’re looking forward to the first terabyte!
You made and received 13,290 calls, spending 510 hours on the phone (just over 3 weeks!) with an average call duration of 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Finally, you sent 6,306 text messages, 75 of which were MMS.
All of that generated 160,247 call records that we rated ourselves.
The year ahead
Our priority this year is to improve Zevvle. To give you more control, more insight, and an all-round better service. We’re in a good place, but there’s still a long way to go, and we have a lot of ideas! Along with that, we need to grow, sustainably. That means getting better at talking about who we are, what we’re doing and what we believe in.
2019 was excellent, and 2020 will be even better. We’re looking forward to what’s ahead. Thank you for being with us. 😊
